FREEMAN, George Michael - Passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017 at The McCall Centre for Continuing Care in Etobicoke in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Jean Marie (Collins). Loving father of Michael Joseph Freeman (Aurora), Daniel Edward Freeman (Debbie), Brian George Freeman (Marjorie), Margaret Ann Haire (Wayne), and Maureen Marie Vajda (Les). Grandpa will be sadly missed by Phillip Freeman, Kathryn Dunikowski (Sean), Jason Freeman (Jun Shi), Cathrine Weatherall (Jason), Kieran Kelly (David), Kevin Freeman, Zachary Haire, Thane Vajda, Nathan Vajda and his three great-grandchildren – May Mei Freeman, Alana Dunikowski and Eric Kelly. Cherished son of the late Edward Freeman and Emma Mary nee Sweet. Dear brother of the late Rita Clapham (Irwin), Audrie Vinette (Ed), Anna, Alfred, Mary DeCarlo (Fred), Gerrard (Florence), Francis (Peggy), Edward (Josie), Kevin and Joan Holland. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter “Neweduk” Chapel 1981 Dundas Street West, Mississauga (East of Erin Mills Pkwy) on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church 2473 Thorn Lodge Drive, Mississauga on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 11am. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

My fondest memory of Uncle George is playing cards with him in the sunroom at his Florida home. He loved his cards and the beer or a glass of wine that went along with the card playing. I will always cherish these memories. He was a very special person. God will keep him now. He's probably arranging a card game at this very moment. Love Heather
