Geoffrey George Anthony Lyon

July 4, 1983 - September 17, 2017

Geoffrey George Anthony Lyon (sunrise July 4th, 1983) was a beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle and friend. On Sunday, September 17, 2017 he drew his last breath in his home. Now he is resting in peace in Heaven - with his Creator and Saviour.

He graduated with honours from the Humber Hospitality program and was eagerly looking forward to pursuing his Bachelors in Hospitality at the Guelph Humber University. He was a role model student, supporting and encouraging his peers on campus and was a recipient of the Student Appreciation Award, June 2017.

Many will remember Geoffrey for his smile, light hearted spirit, and humble heart. He befriended the marginalized, thought of others more than himself, and loved unconditionally. Our loss is Heaven's gain. His light will shine on in our hearts forever.

Geoffrey is survived by his mother, father, grandmother, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, 2 nieces and 2 nephews, aunts and uncles and friends who were like family.

Because Geoffrey was a brother to all - we are all a family!

There comes a time in life when people go away, maybe forever or maybe for just a day; and when we think about the times we’ve spent and we’re spending time missing the closest to our hearts, we never really remember they’ve been there from the very start; and although they may not be here physically, it strains the hearts to say I will think of you loving me each and every day; and how when you were here it never seemed you were far away I held you close to my heart and there forever you will stay and I will talk to God every day and pray your soul never strays far away.
