It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our much loved Gemma, in her 95th year, in the early hours of the morning on Friday, February 13th, 2026 after a brief illness at Credit Valley Hospital.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Gordon, beloved mother to Melanie, grandmother to Ashley (Helder) and Anthony (Rylea) and great grandmother to Cristiano. Gemma was pre-deceased by her two brothers Eugene and J. Louis Ariano.

Gemma loved to travel, spend time in the garden, and play bridge as a member of two weekly bridge clubs. In her earlier years, she was a gifted seamstress - a talent she learned at a young age from her custom tailor father. She had also been a dedicated volunteer with Credit Valley Hospital for 20 years, giving generously of her time and compassion to others.

Heartfelt thanks go out to the staff at Sunrise Senior Living where she spent a short 3 weeks before her illness. She will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held at Turner & Porter "Neweduk- Erin Mills Chapel", 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga, on Saturday, February 28th from 5 - 7pm, with a memorial service to be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, March 1st at 11am with a reception to follow.
