Arriving on a boat in 1966 with parents Imre and Angela and his little sister Diana by his side, Gabe spent the next 49 years successfully achieving all of his life’s dreams and much more. His ultimate goal to experience life on the sea drove him but his passion and love for his family and friends sustained him.

He was the beloved partner in life to Gail and the greatest father and best friend to sons Ryan (Caitlin) and Tanner . Uncle Buck to many nieces and nephews…… Friend, mentor and confidant to many, many friends.

He never wanted “the little kid” in him to grow up. Each person that knew Gabe has countless lovable stories and that was because he was as committed to making everyone smile, as he was to his family and friends. Whether it was the time you saw him eat 12 cobs of corn in one sitting or the sight of his yellow size 13 crocs, he was larger than life and never failed to make every single day more enjoyable for everyone he came across. While his time may have been cut short, the impact he made on family, co-workers, people at the lake, people on the sea and everyone in between will live on with every tale told about him. An incredible life lived by an incredible person. He and everything that made him so special will be missed and mourned but never forgotten.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel on Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. to gather with friends and celebrate Gabe's life. For those who wish, memorial donations to a charity that means something to you would be appreciated.
