Passed away peacefully, at Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at the age of 77. Beloved husband of 54 years to Joyce. Loving father of Lynne (Ian) Burdett and Laura (Nick) Boland. Cherished brother of Frank (Rose) Gartrell, Mary (Lawrie) Sakamoto, and the late Bill. Grandfather of Olivia, Alison, Christopher, Nicole, Johnny and Natalie. Friends may call at Turner & Porter ‘Neweduk-Erin –Mills’ Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga (east of Erin Mills Pkwy), on Friday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Thomas à Becket Anglican Church, 3535 South Common Crt, Mississauga on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 10 am For those who wish, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice are appreciated.

Dear Joyce:
I am so sorry to hear about Fred's death. Fred was a true gentleman. My last memory was of Fred walking my giant poodle - wasn't sure who was walking who! I have many fond memories of our fun times together in Brockville. You were fortunate in having so many years together and you know Fred will be waiting for you in heaven.
