In Celebration of

Frank Mullin

December 13, 1931 -  March 19, 2023

It is with profound sadness that our family announces the death of our devoted husband, adored father, and proud grandfather, Frank. After having lived a blessed and rich life, he died peacefully on March 19, 2023 in his 92nd year. He will be forever cherished by his wife, Lorraine (nee MacDonald), his daughters Geralyn, Heather and Karen, his sons-in-law Eric and Paul, and his grandchildren, Kennealy and Liam. Frank was predeceased by his granddaughter Audrey Marie Krowles and his brothers Martin, Michael, James, John, Tom, Joseph, Christie, and Gerard. He will be sadly missed by his siblings Patrick (Peggy) of New York, Anthony, Bernard (Ann) of Ireland and Philomena (Michael O,Connor) of England; his sister-in-law Barbara Mullin of Toronto and by his many nephews, nieces, neighbours and friends.
Frank was one of 13 children born to the late Luke and Margaret Mullin (nee Gleeson) of County Galway, Ireland. He immigrated to Canada in 1954. After settling in Toronto, he met his wife, Lorraine. They were married at St. Cecilia's Church in August 1962 and spent 60 wonderful years together.
A dedicated and loyal employee, Frank worked for the Toronto Transit Commission for 36 years.
Warm, curious and outgoing, Frank revelled in the company of others. He loved cooking and entertaining and was the life of every gathering. Frank had a gift for finding fun in every moment. His sense of humour, extremely quick wit and impeccable timing were appreciated and enjoyed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He had so many interests. He loved to read, to dance, to paint and decorate, to garden and to be outdoors. Frank held his beloved homeland always close to his heart and delighted in all things Irish. Above all, Frank will be remembered for his positive outlook, extraordinary kindness and unconditional devotion to his family. A man of deep faith, Frank was called home by the Lord on March 19th, the Feast day of St. Joseph.
There will be a wake held at Turner and Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., Toronto, on Sunday March 26, 2023 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Cecilia's Church, 161 Annette Street, on Monday March 27, 2023 at 11 am. Donations may be made to Poverello Charities, Ontario.

I first met Frank through his daughter Geralyn when I went over to her house for May 24 party. Ger has been my best friend since I was 16. For over 40 years. Frank was a dad to Ger that I never had. I spent a lot of my teen years at their house. Frank would always be there after school telling us Jokes. One time he told us that we would be in our rocking chairs laughing at all the jokes we didn’t get. We still are not in our rocking chairs. The times I’ve spent with Frank have been one the happiest days of my life. I will miss his jokes hearing of his antics and beautiful smile. My thoughts and prayers are with u Lorraine and beautiful daughters you have.

There is a land of the living and a land of the dead and the bridge is love, the only survival, the only meaning.
