In Celebration of

Frances Leone Morden

May 16, 1930 -  July 16, 2016

It is with sadness that the Morden family announces the passing of Frances Morden (nee Tate) on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the Trillium Hospital - Mississauga. Born and raised in Parry Sound, Fran moved to the Toronto area to attend Teachers College. After meeting at a church dance, Ron and Fran were married in 1951. Fran was a loving wife to Ron until his passing in 2013. She was a devoted mother to Stephen, David (Suzanne), Cathy Smalling (Hugh) and Sarah McEwing; as well as a caring Nana to Michael, Aaron, Emily, Eric, Rachel and Claire. She will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends and neighbours who will remember her as a talented cake decorator, event planner, quilter and baker. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter “Neweduk-Erin Mills” Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga (just east of Erin Mills Pkwy) on Friday, July 22nd from 4-6 p.m. A service to celebrate Fran's life will be held on Saturday, July 23rd at 11:30 a.m. at Erindale United Church (1444 Dundas Crescent, Mississauga). For those who wish, donations may be made to Erindale United Church or to a charity of your choice.

I will Love my Aunt Frances forever. She cared for me so much and was always looking after me and including me in her life after my Mother, her sister, Irene , who passed away in 1995.
I will miss her everyday and will never forget what she did for me.
My condolences to the rest of her family.
I love you all very much!

I will miss your smiling face as you cut and shared your many beautifully decorated cakes which you prepared for our special church functions. Your leadership as we developed Erindale memories were invaluable.

Stephen, David, Cathy, Sarah and families,

Our sincerest condolences on the passing of your mother. It was always a joy when she invited me for dinners at your house when I was young. I have many fond memories of spending time at the Morden house. May your memories of her keep her close.
