In Celebration of

Frances Goodenough

November 5, 1929 -  February 22, 2021

It is with great sadness the family announce the passing of Frances on Monday, February 22, 2021, at the age of 91.

Beloved wife of the late Arthur. Loving mother of Terry (late), Patricia (James), Laura (Daniel), Cathy (Oliver), and Mary (Chris). Cherished Grandma of Jennifer, Paul, Meghan, Paige, Erika, Emily, and Jacob. She leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews.

Frances was a kind, sweet and loving wife and mother who was proud of all her children and grandchildren. She was happiest when surrounded by her extended family and friends. And we all have fond memories of being together – whether for large family dinners, holidays, trips, or marathon card and Scrabble games.

We will remember how, even though she was busy with the raising of 5 children and working full time, she always found the time for the extras - baking her famous oatmeal cookies, family camping trips, and making our house a home for us and our friends.
Although she would never admit it, she was a gifted artist and many of her masterpieces proudly grace our walls.

Frances and Art enjoyed travelling and after retirement was able to travel more frequently and see the world together. They had many happy years, travelling, enjoying their “retirement property” and spending time with the grandchildren.

Thank you to the staff at Sunrise for caring for Mom especially in these last trying days. Mom often mentioned how difficult your job was and appreciated all the kindness you showed her.

Due to the present restrictions, private family services will take place.

My mother was a very caring, considerate, gracious lady, who always put the feelings and needs of others before her own, right up to the very end.
I am thankful that she is no longer in any pain, that I was able to be with her in her final moments to say goodbye and that she can now be with Dad and Terry.
Love you always. Cathy xoxo
