In Celebration of

Frances Ann Watson

September 25, 1946 -  May 21, 2017

Diagnosed with ‘pulmonary fibrosis’ in September 2016, Fran literally had to work to breathe. Known for her smile, and a laugh that lit up a room, Fran retained her interest in life, kept in touch with her wide circle of friends, and remained positive and focused throughout. Many didn’t realize how unwell Fran was because of her amazing attitude and grace.
Fran is a native and proud Haligonian, arriving in Toronto as an Air Canada employee in 1968. Fran had many pursuits and interests that gave her pleasure, love of family, socializing with friends, golf, bridge, tennis, travel and the Blue Jays and Leafs. One of the greatest disappointments brought on by her condition was her inability to play golf and bridge at the Oakville Golf Club, a place she thoroughly enjoyed.
Frans family, husband John, daughter Jen, son Ben ( Heidi and her yet to be born first grandson),and brother Fred (Leslie Hulse) of Ottawa will miss her terribly.
The family wish to thank the exceptional doctors and staff at Trillium Healths 3 campuses. and the UHN Transplant Team.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate you considering donations to the Trillium Health Centre (most needed or Respirology, and or the UHN Lung Transplant Team).
Fran's funeral will be at the Turner and Porter Peel Chapel (2180 Hurontario St. Mississauga L5B 1M8) Tuesday, May 30/17 at 3:00 p.m. with visitation the evening before from 6:00-9:00 p.m.

We will truly miss Fran's smile and sense of fun. Her laugh was one of a kind. She was one of our favorite people ever. Our birthday (Fran and Jen) will never be the same without our dear Fran. We will raise a glass of Dewars in Fran's honour on September 25th.
