It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear father, just one week shy of his 89th birthday. Husband to Teresa (Sebastiano), loving father to Art (Maggie), Teresa, and Mary Lisa (John). Proud grandfather to Margo, Alexa. Loving brother to the late Carmela (Guido), Frances (Ciancio) and Mary (Porcelli). Dad is now reunited with his loving mother Teresa (Licciardone) and loving father Arturo, his loving sister Carmela and cherished grandson Paul.

Fortunato immigrated to Canada from Calabria Italy. He worked hard throughout his life, enjoying his greatest success in the last several decades of his life as an importer. Fortunato will be greatly missed by friends, family, and clients alike.

We would like acknowledge, thank and extend our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital and St. Michael’s Hospital for their care and compassion.

Visitation will take place at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel located at 2357 Bloor St. W. in Toronto on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 17 2023 at 12:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 3055 Bloor St. W, Toronto. Interment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens, 1810 Albion Road, Etobicoke.
