In Celebration of

Flavio Pincente

September 26, 1951 -  October 6, 2018

We are saddened to announce the passing of Flavio Pincente on October 6th. The devoted husband of Kornelia (nee Schwarz) for 41 years, he was a proud and supportive father to his children Stefan (Carmen) and Lauren (Rob), and cherished Nonno to baby Isla Esme. Son to the late Orlando and Lucia Pincente, Flavio also leaves behind his sister Patricia and mother-in-law Danuta, as well as many lifelong friends from his Nelson A. Boylen days who knew him to always crack jokes and do funny voices. Born in Rende, Calabria, Flav was a resident of High Park in his final years where he enjoyed neighbourhood walks and dining with his family at Vesuvio's, where he had his first date with Kornelia in 1972. Flavio spent over 40 years proudly working in television for companies like Shaw Cable and Telelatino before starting his own company, ZeroOne Communications, where he produced commercials for the last 15 years of his life. The Pincente family would like to thank the cardiology and neurology teams at St. Michael's and all the loving nurses who comforted them in his final days. In lieu of flowers, Flavio would want you to buy a ticket to the TSO, go to the theatre, watch a classic film, travel, take care of your family, start a business, put your money in a TFSA, zip up your coat, and wear your sunscreen.

I regret that I never had a chance to meet Flavio but, if he was a brother of Pat's, then I know he was good and kind and wonderful. I wish peace for his family.

I had the pleasure of working with Flavio in Richmond Hill during his time with Shaw Communications. I met him again a number of times at Capital Networks, where he would be visiting on Zero One business. He was knowledgeable, creative and always a consummate professional. My deepest sympathies to his family, friends and colleagues at Zero One. He will be greatly missed.

I had been a young man in my early 20's when I first worked with Flavio at Classicomm Cable 10. I don't believe he was overly impressed with my youth and inexperience at first, but he showed me many things about TV production that eventually he helped work in other areas of commercial creativity. I am quite shocked at this sad news....
