Michael "Fitz" FitzGibbon

October 25, 1953 - April 4, 2017

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Michael on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the age of 63. Beloved husband of Pat for 38 years. Loving father of Meghan and Lauren. Dear brother of Joe (Lindsay), Dave, (Colleen), Maureen (Late Leo), and the late Dan and John. Michael will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., Toronto (at Windermere, east of the Jane subway) on Friday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 3 p.m. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Mike "Fitz" was a great man and good friend, we actually worked together for the last 15 years and enjoyed every moment we where sharing either chatting, joking ( he was a great story teller) through our group activities, event and all. I feel sorry for your loss and wish is soul the best as he will be watching over all of you from up above, safe travel Fitz, we will miss you, always... see you on the other side, Robin

I only met Mike a few times. In those brief encounters I came to know what a very warm and special person Mike was. He will be missed.

Mike was a great team mate. Always had a smile and kind words to say. He was not the best at scoring goals, but was a good skater, Mike will be missed. I'm in Florida and will not be able to attend the funeral.
