In Celebration of

Filomena Zielinski

April 29, 1923 -  March 6, 2017

(nee Tkaczyk)
It is with profound sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Filomena on March 6, 2017 in her 94th year. Predeceased by her husband Frank and daughter Donna. Beloved mother of Anne Sado (Ed). Grandmother/babcia to John-Paul (Jessica), Michael (Lindsay) and great grandmother/prababcia to Charles John. She will be deeply missed by many relatives in Poland, extended family and friends. She was vital until the end – still in her own home, always cooking pierogi and other Polish treats for her family and getting ready for her next card game as well as her next driving test.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of Jane subway from 2-4 & 7-9 Thursday. Funeral Mass will be held at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, 1415 Royal York Rd. on Friday, March 10th, at 9:30 a.m. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery. If desired memorial donations may be made to the Donna Zielinski Memorial Scholarship in Commerce & Finance, University of Toronto. Donations best accepted by telephone Tel: 416-978-0811

With deep condolences to the family. Filomena was a wonderful lady; always with kindness in her eyes, warmth in her conversation and a friendly interest in others. My memories of poppy seed cake, tea in glass cups and good 'talks' will stay for many years. Vibrant right to the end, she was an great model for her daughters and grandchildren. May she now rest in peace.

Dear Anne, Ed and family,
Please accept our condolences. It's good to know you had Filomena in your lives for as long as you did. It sounds like she enjoyed her life and we hope that brings you some comfort in the midst of your grieving.

Anne,
My most sincere condolences to you and your family for the passing of you mom. I trust that she has left you and the rest of her loved ones many beautiful memories to relive - the joy, the laughter, the smiles...perhaps even a few arguments!
God gives us memories that we might have roses in December; time for the roses to bloom.

Pietro
