Felix Iroanyah

December 19, 1941 -  May 17, 2025


It is with deep sadness to share that Dr. Felix Iroanyah, born December 19th, 1941, passed away at Credit Valley Hospital on Saturday May 17th, 2025 after a 17 year battle with dementia.

Dr. Iroanyah was a beloved husband to Coroline and loving father to Chukwemeka Iroanyah, Azubike Iroanyah, and Ngozi Iroanyah.

A scholarly mind, he left his village to study in the big capital city of Lagos, Nigeria when he was 19 and then moved to London, UK to pursue his undergraduate and graduate studies. He received his PhD in Economics from Columbia University in 1980. He travelled to the United States and then settled in Canada in the late 1960's. He met his first wife, Adanma Iroanyah, in the 1960's and they wed in 1970. Together they had 3 children, Chukwemeka Iroanyah, Azubike Iroanyah, and Ngozi Iroanyah. After his first wife's passing, he met his second wife, Coroline Gean Iroanyah, in 2005 and they wed in 2014. He was an avid world traveler and saw as many as 15 countries in his life. He is remembered as a strong Christian, kind and gregarious, with a brilliant smile and sharp mind. His compassion and empathy for others is one of the life lessons he has instilled in his children and they carry forward as part of his legacy. He is survived by his wife, Coroline Gean Iroanyah, and his 3 children.

He will be remembered on Friday May 30th for a viewing at Turner & Porter Funeral Home Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel, 1981 Dundas Street West, Mississauga from 7:00-9:00pm.

The funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Erindale Bible Chapel, 1400 Dundas Crescent, Mississauga, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

The burial will take place on Saturday May 31, 2025 at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery and Crematorium, 737 Dundas Street East, Mississauga, from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.

A reception will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Holiday Inn and Suites Mississauga West 2565 Argentia Road, Mississauga from 4:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
