In Celebration of

Feliks Dzbik

May 29, 1924 -  August 1, 2017

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the age of 93 years. Beloved husband to Janina and loving father to Les and Stan (his wife Margaret). Dear grandfather to Adam, Karolina, Natalie and Michelle.

Feliks was born in Zary, Poland. He was 16 when he was drafted to work forced labour in Germany. He spent 6 months in a German concentration camp and 4 years in a British displaced persons camp after the war. After emigrating to Canada he worked to support his family. Feliks enjoyed watching cowboy movies, boxing and ice hockey, MacGyver and Walker, Texas Ranger. He enjoyed his retirement, working in the garden and riding his bike around the neighborhood into his nineties.

May he rest in peace.

Stan, my old friend, I am deeply saddened by the news of your father's passing. My most heartfelt condolences to you, Les and the rest of the family. In Greek, among family and close friends, we say "Ζωή σε σας!" which literally means "Life to you" and expresses the bigger idea of the cycle of life and a long life to those left behind to remember the deceased. May your father rest in peace my friend.
