Lolly, we became instant friends so long ago when we started our first part time jobs we were so young and yet learned much from each other.

Throughout the years even though our lives have taken us in separate directions and we only spoke or saw each other occasionally you were always the same. The fun loving, heart warming person that you are with that awesome sense of humour and that infectious laugh. I can hear you now as I write. I always knew that our connection was there and when the occasion would bring us together it would be like no time had past and that is what lasting friendship is all about. Life was cut short for you but you touched so many including me.

John, Chelsea and Hailey your hearts are broken and your life has changed as you know it. My hope is that the memories that bring you sorrow right now will warm your hearts in time to come. You’ll be missed my friend, Goretti

Including some snaps from the past ..

Roughly 20 years or so ago, my manager at Rogers asked me to sit in on an interview with her. The person being interviewed turned out to be Lolly.
Afterwards of course, my manager asked me for my my opinion and without hesitation I said "Yes! Hire her!" and she did....
You see, right on the spot, I was drawn to her charisma and felt a connection. We immediately developed a friendship and grew closer as we worked together many years and spent many of our lunches together.
After I left Rogers, we stayed in touch throughout the years right up until a few weeks ago when I checked in with her to see how everyone was doing. We got together for lunch whenever possible. I always cherished our time together and enjoyed our talks immensely. It was never enough time.
I know I was not the only person she left her imprint on. She was a cherished friend and to so many of her colleagues who will all miss her.
I will miss her dearly and will always think of her fondly and smile.
Rest in peace Lolly.
