We were so fortunate to meet Ethel when we joined St John's. She was always so welcoming to us and our children. After we retired our fellowship at the Thursday morning worship deepened our friendship. Her understanding of parish life and her wise counsel enriched us all. Her transition into a seniors home was a learning experience for us. We have many fond memories. We send our sincere condolences to all her many family and friends. She will missed but not forgotten.
We are both so sorry to hear about your Mom. She was a very dear friend to Vivian and even though they did not see each other often, Ethel was always in her thoughts.
Our condolences to the family.
Karen, Tom and family: Our sincere condolences to all of you. We will be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers at this most difficult of times.
It was wonderful knowing Ethel through St. John's and it has been special for Tanya to have Ethel as a godmother. We will miss her. May she rest in peace.
Auntie Ethel was a mainstay of Gothic Avenue where our families grew up together. She, my mother, Betty Johnson and Ann Norris were neighbours and friends for many years. Ethel had a warm heart and a wonderful sense of humour and she always made us feel welcome in her home. After my mother passed away in 1996, Ethel and I became good friends and i came to appreciate her not only as a wonderful surrogate mother but as the delightful human being she was. With much love, Jill
