From Portugal we are sending our deepest sympathy and condolences to the family. Over the years we enjoyed conversations, laughter, food and stories of his varied home and cottage projects. Erwin often started the line to the buffet at the frequent family celebrations. We will surely miss his welcoming phrases. "Have Some More", "Just Drop In Anytime" and his modest remark "Oh, You Shouldn't Have Done That". We will treasurer memorable times spent with Erwin throughout the years.
Our thoughts are with you all at this time.

My dad wasn't a man of influence or extreme wealth but he lived the richest life of all ... surrounded by the love of his family and friends.

The outpouring of condolences from around the world has given us strength to accept that he's moved onto a better place. We know that dad's wandering through heaven catching up with all we've lost and meeting new friends.

He'd want to wish you "all the Best" and let you know that all is good "alles ist gut"

Until we meet again
