In Celebration of

Emilia Jasinski

August 15, 1935 -  April 16, 2022

Passed away peacefully at Trillium Mississauga Hospital, on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of Bronislaw for 47 years until his passing in October 2021.

Dear sister of Maria Wysocka (Dominik) and Jozef Piekos (Maria).
Predeceased by siblings Edward (Zofia), Czeslaw (Tola), Stanislaw (Wladzia), Marian (Krystyna), Roman (Wladzia) and Tola (Czeslaw).
Cherished godmother of Basia, Mirek, Andrzej , Wioletta and predeceased Jarek.
Loved by all her nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends in Canada and Poland.

Emilia came to Canada in 1967. She always was the most earnest supporter of her family in Poland and Canada and a very lively and present member of the Polish community in Toronto.

Emilia was an amazing and dedicated host to countless extended family Christmases, summer BBQs, and reunions at the farm. Her events were joyous occasions but especially Christmas Day, where singing koledy was always a must, enjoyed by all attending. She was a talented seamstress, always wearing her newest creations with pride, and never failed to share these talents with her family. In her golden years, Emilia loved traveling abroad, visiting many countries – but her favorite and most visited was always Poland.

In the 1980s, after martial law paralyzed Poland, Emilia and Bronislaw sponsored or co-sponsored many family members, hosting them in their home, and helping establish them in Canada.

Although they had no children of their own, Emilia and Bronislaw built a family here comprised of brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews that they sponsored. They loved having people over, offering full Polish hospitality, love and laughter and interesting conversations. They were always very warm hearted and interested in the matters of the world.

Emilia and Bronislaw will always be loved and appreciated, and stay forever in our hearts.
