Emilia Hojka

October 12, 1936 - November 25, 2023

Emilia passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at the age of 87. She was the beloved wife of the late Henryk. She is survived by her brother Tomasz Bacik, and her two daughters, Anna Czernecki (Marek) and Krystyna Hojka-Dupuis (Brian). Emilia also had three grandchildren: Stephanie (Matthew), Michael, and Danielle (Leslie-Ann) and she was the loving and devoted great-grandmother of William, Emily, and Anastasia. She was always seen enjoying her greatest hobby, gardening. She will be greatly missed.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane Subway, on Friday from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 12 Denison Avenue, Toronto on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 10 a.m. Interment Assumption Catholic Cemetery. I last spoke with Emilia on November 9, 2023 on the anniversary of Henryk’s passing. I am glad I had the opportunity to speak with her so recently. I have so many good memories of visiting Emilia and her family with my family when I was young. And so many memories of visiting the farm. Henryk and Emilia were such great friends of my parents. Henryk and my father were cousins. I will never forget how strong, hard-working, positive, kind and lovely Emilia was. I can still hear her laugh and see her smile in my mind. She will not be forgotten.
