In Celebration of

Emanuel (Manny) Poulo

July 7, 1934 -  January 11, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Emanuel (Manny) Poulo on January 11, 2023 at the age of 88.

Manny passed away peacefully with family by his side. Predeceased by his dear and beloved wife, Patricia. The greatest father and nonno in the world to his son Christopher, and his grandsons Aiden and Joshua. Fondly cherished by his daughter-in-law Tina. Manny will be reunited with his beloved brothers Louie and Michael, and his sisters Evelyn and Mary.

He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews and extended family, and by his legion of friends, including everyone at his home away from home: All Saints Parish. Manny's three greatest passions were his faith, his family and his friends. He was a humble servant of God, and was devoutly committed to his 'neighbours.' His energy, compassion, generosity and love of life will be greatly missed, as will his infectious laugh and smile.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the St. Vincent de Paul, a charitable organization dedicated to the personal service of the poor, for which Manny was a longtime volunteer and champion. We love you and miss you, Dad. May you rest in peace.

A visitation will take place at the Turner and Porter Butler Chapel on Tuesday January 17th from 2-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at All Saints Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday January 18th at 10 a.m with a burial at Assumption Catholic Cemetery.

Manny was an incredible human being. He had a deep faith, a great sense of humour and lived life always helping those in need. He was a great friend to my Dad, a fellow usher at All Saints Church and with my mom, who also attended daily morning mass. More than friend, he was family and often joined in our family celebrations. During my Dad’s illness and death, Manny was such a great support for my mom, my sisters and I. And last year, when mom died, he once again prayed with us and gave us strength. The world is a sadder place now without Manny in it. The Betro girls, as he liked to call us, will always be grateful for his presence in our lives. To Christopher, Tina, Aiden and Joshua, I offer my sincerest condolences. Know that he often spoke of you when he was with us and his love and pride for you was so evident.

Rest In Peace, Manny. You were one of a kind and will be sorely missed.

Uncle Manny... a constant figure in my life. I remember him saying that the first time he met me I was in diapers; he was like a 2nd father to me. I hold dear so many treasured memories: record hunting at Sam the Record Man, shopping the deals at Honest Eds, western movie nights, his Ford Fairlane 500 with the 8-track stereo (he was so the man!), trips to New Brunswick, Euchre ("never let it pass you by Allan!"), seeing Charlie Pride with him in 2014, or was it 2015?

Everyone who met him embraced him. He was one of a kind: genuine, true, honest, joyful... undoubtedly there was a saintly quality about him.

Thank you Uncle Manny for your contribution to the molding of my heart. I will say that I am a better man because of you in my life. Love always, Allan
