It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elza Tolic on March 5, 2026. Born on October 1, 1939, Elza was a woman of immense warmth and character who dedicated her life to the well-being of those she held dear. She leaves behind a legacy defined by her caring nature, her genuine spirit, and an unwavering love for her family.
To her children, Jasna and Miro, she was a constant North Star—always there, always supportive, and always putting their needs above her own. Her warmth extended through the generations as a proud grandmother to Ivan, Elizabeth, Alexander, and Eric, and later as a cherished great-grandmother to Luka, Leia, Maliya, and Kiara.
Elza’s life was defined by the simple, profound act of being there for those she loved. She was remarkably caring and truly genuine, possessing the rare ability to make everyone in her presence feel seen and supported. Her hands were never idle, and her heart was never closed.
Though she will be missed dearly, her family finds comfort in the countless memories of her kindness and the many skills she passed down. She was, and will always remain, the beautiful foundation upon which her family was built.
Rest in peace, Elza, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to so many. You are loved and cherished beyond words and will be forever missed.
