Elizabeth Margaret Ann Banks (nee Drury)

September 19, 1929 -  October 17, 2021

It is with sadness that we share the news of our mother’s passing in Mississauga on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at the age of 92 with her family by her side. Born in Honeywood, Ontario on September 19, 1929 Betty was predeceased by her husband Thomas Ross, her parents John and Margaret Drury and her brother Glen. She is survived by her son Robbie (Catherine) and daughter Kathryn, grandchildren James and Scott, Bradley and Brian, and great grandchildren Nora and Lucy. Betty and Tom lived in Etobicoke until 1989 when they retired to Gravenhurst. Mom loved spending time with her many friends, playing bridge, square dancing and entertaining. She was an active member of both Trinity United Church in Gravenhurst and Islington United Church. She loved her various volunteer work at the hospital, heart and stroke association and was a member of the Eastern Star. Thank you to the very special staff at Sunrise Mississauga for their love and care. A Memorial Service will be held at Islington United Church, 25 Burnhamthorpe Rd, Etobicoke, on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 1 p.m.Interment at Park Lawn Cemetery. To register your attendance please register at the link provided. If desired, donations may be made in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

My heart breaks, with your mother's passing. She was a dear sweet women. So proud of her kids and their kids. She played a very important role in my children's life. Her coming to my son's wedding truly a wonderful memory for all of us. To see the fun she had with life, truly special. Aunt Betty you will always be in my heart, cherished for the love and glow you gave to all. RIP
