RIP cousin Liz. You have always been so supportive of your cousins. I can remember when you turned up at Jane's art show in Sarnia, much to her surprise and pleasure. You travelled to Vancouver and spent time with Nancy. When I was singing the Faure Requiem at St. Paul's in London you surprised me by coming for the event and bringing a lovely present for Nancy. We will miss you. Lynn and Keith
My condolences to the family for their loss. Elizabeth welcomed me to Trinity St Paul when I lived in Port Credit. she also shared her vast knowledge of history of the area with me. May she rest in peace.
Liz was a graduate of Oocupational and Physiotherapy from The University of Toronto in 1962, and was the first therapist hired by the new children's rehabilitation facility, The Ontario Crippled Children's Centre ( now Holland Bloorview). She had the opportunity of working with interdisciplinary teams of orthotists, prosthetists, rehabilitation engineers as well as teachers, and occupational therapists to assist children to live as independent lives as possible. She was in the forefront when working with kids with limb deficiencies ( including those affected by thalidomide), and Spina Bifida. Well respected as a teacher by therapists who came from across the country to learn, she was also an international speaker as her expertise grew. In extra curricular time, Liz was a valued member of Off Centre Productions, singing and acting in many plays. After retirement she worked in the Centre's Volunteer Department for approximately ten years. As she and I were work colleagues from 1963, we had the opportunity to work and sometimes travel together, and remained friends throughout these many years. I miss her already...
