With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Elizabeth Dorothy Teichman on Wednesday, November 5th, 2025. She passed away peacefully in the presence of family at the age of 58.
Born and raised in Toronto and Mississauga, Elizabeth attended Holy Name of Mary Catholic College in Mississauga, followed by the University of Toronto (Mississauga), leading to careers in investment management and consumer product development and marketing. She artfully balanced her career pursuits while raising her family in Etobicoke.
Elizabeth was a loving wife to her husband Andrew Charles, and a devoted mother to her two sons, Matthew Alexander and Justin Paul, who will cherish her unconditional love and joyful times spent together. Fond memories included time spent together at the cottage, kid's sporting activities, and family vacations that included skiing in Quebec, as well as visiting amusement parks and National Parks in Florida, California and Arizona.
Elizabeth was the daughter to Stanislaw and Janina Lis, mother-in-law to Magdalena, grandmother to Abigail, sister to Diane (Robert), sister-in-law to Henry (Elizabeth Ann), sister-in-law to Ted (Mary), and aunt to Christine, Michael, Diana, Natasia and Christopher.
Elizabeth will be remembered most for her kindness, strength and giving spirit. She had an amazing ability to connect with and relate to all those she met. She was keen to listen and known for always offering a helping hand, including engaging in various charitable causes. She loved everyone and wanted you to remember her as a graceful, intelligent and compassionate person. In your heart, please fill Elizabeth's absence with fond memories of her, and be consoled that she is now resting in peace.
The family wishes to extend their thanks to the amazing staff at Queensway Trillium Hospital for the care Elizabeth received.
