In Celebration of

Elizabeth Cynthia Wybrew

September 4, 1959 -  December 22, 2017

We are saddened to announce the passing of Elizabeth Cynthia Wybrew on Friday December 22, 2017 after a long battle of declining health. Elizabeth was born on September 4, 1959 in Toronto, Ont. Diagnosed at 2 years old with diabetes, Elizabeth soldiered on through life while battling many complications. In 2002, Elizabeth received a double transplant of a kidney and pancreas following peritoneal dialysis from renal failure. Elizabeth graduated from Ryerson University and worked as a Corporate Law Clerk for several Toronto law firms. Her unique sense of humour and her ability to be a ‘good listener’ will be greatly missed. Predeceased by her parents Leonard and Wendy, Elizabeth is survived by her brother Geoffrey (Sharon) and sister Deborah. Loving aunt to Lyndsay, Alexander, and David. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy 10 N. of Q.E.W) on Tuesday from 7-9 pm and Wednesday 2-3 pm. A service to celebrate Elizabeth’s life will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, January 3, 2017 at 3 pm followed by a small reception. If desired, memorial donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation are greatly appreciated. Online condolences available through www.turnerporter.ca

I had the pleasure of working with Elizabeth on various corporate files. She was extremely intelligent and strong minded and always kept me on my toes. As her health slowly deteriorated she had to give up her employment with our firm. I was saddened to have her leave then and again now on the news of her decease. Unfortunately, she also seemed to be in discomfort on may occasions and hopefully she is at peace now. My condolences to all.

Debbie: Very sorry to hear of your sister Elizabeth's passing. Having had a cousin who struggled with JD and passed in his early 40's, I can empathize with the struggles she had to face on a daily basis. Losing a loved one at this time of year only adds to the sorrow. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family at this most difficult time.

Sincerely
Trevor and Leticia
