April 15, 1943 - November 21, 2021

Suddenly & unexpectedly passed away on Sunday November 21, 2021. Beloved wife of Peter. Loving mother of Peter Jr (Wiesia), Martin (Faye), Robert (Savi). Cherished Stara Mama of Laura, Jacob, Rebecca, Jennifer, Jordan, Liliana, and Viktoria. Elena will be deeply missed by her sister Edita (Stefan) and Zuzana.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., Toronto on Sunday, November 28th, 2021. Due to the limitations still in place surrounding COVID-19, space is limited, and all guests must register in advance. A private family funeral followed by cremation will be held separately. Donations in Elena’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Dr. Somska will be missed, the short period that I work with her was an important period for me as she always enlightened the room when we had conferences and made me feel confident on my job, my condolences to the family and friends, May your hearts be enlightened with her bright smile to comfort your pain.
