It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Eileen O’Toole, age 86, of Glenealy, County Wicklow, Ireland on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the Eatonville Care Centre, Etobicoke, Ontario. Beloved wife of the late Christie O’Toole. Loving mother of Bridie, Essie, Eileen, Chris, Joe and the late Vera. Loving sister to the late John Godkin (the late Kathleen), Tommy Godkin (Eileen) of Arklow, Kathleen Byrne of Rathnew and May Simmons (Richie) of Yorkshire. Adored grandmother of Travis, Petra, Liam, Ruairi, Niamh, Keenan, Josette and Jack. She will be missed by her friends, nephews and nieces in Ireland and England. Special thanks to Eatonville’s wonderful staff for their care of Mom, especially Eden, Branka and Eugenie. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., (between Kipling & Islington Aves.) Etobicoke, on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 3055 Bloor St. W.,(west of Royal York Rd.) on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 11 a.m. Memorial donations to the Irish Benevolent Society of Toronto are appreciated.
