Edy Giulia Mitrano née Veneranda

October 31, 1928 - June 19, 2025

Peacefully, with her family by her side, Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the age of 96.

Beloved wife of the late Gianni. Devoted mother of Florence Liuzza (Joe) and John (Adriana). Cherished nonna of Fara, Joseph (Simona), Lauren, and Matthew. Edy will be lovingly remembered by her many family and friends in Italy and Canada.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane subway, on Sunday from 2-8 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 3055 Bloor St. W., Etobicoke, on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 1 p.m.

Entombment Prospect Mausoleum.

If desired, remembrances may be made to Sick Kids Hospital.

Edy always full of joy and laughter even if she was quiet you know she was going to say something to make you laugh as soon as you would see her.
All the angels know our feelings for people that are dear to us our hearts are broken with the sad news of Edy’s passing.
May her loving soul Rest In Peace Forever and May she follow the lights to be together with her loving husband Gianni and her dear sister, niece and father that she missed so very much.

I will never forget her. She was a wonderful/caring woman.
I always will remember her smile and happiness she brought to everyone.

Such a wonderful woman. I had the pleasure of spending my childhood growing up across the street from her on Telco. We all loved her and Gianni very much. Though we can find peace in knowing she has reunited with him, she will be deeply missed.
