Ted passed away in his 91st year with his beloved wife Shirley at his side at Trillium Health Partner (Mississauga Hospital) on Tuesday December 7, 2021. Ted was hospitalized with Dementia at Credit Valley Hospital and he was sent to Mississauga Hospital where he passed away of pneumonia. The family would like to give a special thank you to the Doctors and Nurses at Credit Valley Hospital for their excellent care and attention to Ted. Loving Father of John (Jane) and loving grandfather of Andrew, Ashley and Alexander. Ted was predeceased by his daughter Sharen Anne Magee, June 17 2021. Ted will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews.
Ted was born and raised in Toronto, where his father had an insurance agency. Growing up his mother was hospitalized with Tuberculosis for 2 years, while his uncle Bob mentored him on life. He had the opportunity at 12 years of age to work on assembling Lancaster airplanes for the war effort. He also had a summer job working as a lab technician with the RCMP and then worked for 3 years with U of T Research in Connaught labs with researching in regards precancer of the brain. Prompted by his father, Ted joined Bell Canada, and spent the next 35 years working for Bell Canada in Central Office as a technician and a manager.
He retired from Bell Canada and started his own company. Ted and his son John started their company in 1985 called Delta M Incorporated. The business has flourished and is currently located in Milton, Ontario, where they built a warehouse in 2004 and worked at supplying the HVAC and Telecom Industry. Ted and John hold a patent for recyclable HVAC air filter media and supply Telephone companies and commercial buildings and property management companies across North America with Air Filtration products.
