In Celebration of

Edvige Benaglia

March 9, 1925 -  December 8, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edvige Benaglia on December 8, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Ferdinando. Cherished sister to Anna and the late Maria and Margherita. Caring mother to Valeria and devoted grandmother to Veronica, Sara (Jim) and Gloria (Mark). She will be sadly missed by her great grandchildren Adriana, Anthony, Eliana and Luka, and her many nieces and nephews. Edvige was a skilled sewing machine operator, a gifted gardener and an exceptional cook. She will be lovingly remembered for her generosity, her great love of life and the laughter she gave to all with her wonderful and unique sense of humour.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., on Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 3055 Bloor St. W., on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 11am. Interment to follow at Westminster Cemetery.

I have many happy memories of "Nonna" growing up with Sara & Veronica on Clissold. She was always welcoming to us neighbourhood kids/friends and so patient to put up with us at the house all the time. I know she will be sorely missed, sending love to the family.
