Passed away peacefully on Monday, January 8, 2018, at Credit Valley Hospital surrounded by his family at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Maria C de Melo. Loving father of Edward de Melo(Maria), Jose de Melo (Estrella), Maria Pacheco (Late Jose), Antonio de Melo (Kathy), Gabriel de Melo & Humberto de Melo. Proud Grandfather to Mike (April), Sue (Brent), Rick (Cynthia), Christina (Mauricio), Chris (Amy), Jennifer, Stephanie (Chris), Sherry (James), Michelle & Branden. Adored great-grandfather of Rhys, Riley, Amelia, Mathias, Olivia, Madyson, Hailey, Brooklynn, Marcus & Weston. He will be remembered as a man who put his family first, his great stories and his woodworking craftmanship. The family is grateful for the compassionate care at Extendicare Mississauga and at the Credit Valley Hospital. Viewing arrangements have been made at Turner & Porter – Neweduk – Erin Mills Chapel, 1981 Dundas Street West, Mississauga, ON L5K 1R2 on Wednesday, January 10th 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Streetsville at 10:30 am on Thursday, January 11th. Entombment to follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery.
