Earl Fred Drozdoski

February 13, 1941 - September 30, 2017

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Earl Drozdoski on Saturday September 30, 2017 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Rosemary, loving father of Trish (Gary) Sullivan, Grant, and Brent (Kelly) Martin. Dear brother of Stan. Proud Gigi of Cody, Morgan, Kieran, Neil, Sean and Heather. Earl will be missed by nephews Michael and Matthew and extended family and friends.

Earl started his working career with the Toronto Police Association where he met many people who became friends and have remained so throughout his life.

Earl had a strong desire for something more and went to night school while juggling a full time job. His goal to become a teacher was realized and he enjoyed a very successful career at the Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board, where he was widely admired for his dedication, intelligence and humor. Throughout his career he was always striving for more and he became a highly regarded department head of Special Education Resources. He had a passion for teaching and valued the friendships he developed over 25 years.

Earl was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus for over 12 years and enjoyed many of the events that they participated in.
He had many other interests including music and sports. He was a huge sports fan. He followed the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors, but his favourite by far was the Toronto Blue Jays.

Earl’s joy was his many grandchildren. He was very proud of all their academic and athletic endeavors. He was always interested in what was happening at school and was supportive of their many gifts.

Friends are welcome at Turner & Porter Neweduk Chapel (1981 Dundas St. West, Mississauga) for visitation on Wednesday October 4 (2-4, 7-9 with prayers at 7:30) and funeral service at St Joseph’s Ukrainian Catholic Church on Thursday October 5, 2017 (11 am).
Donations requested in lieu of flowers to The Diabetes Association or a charitable foundation of your choice.

"Earl the Pearl"....a "gem" of a man who will be clearly missed. Who will keep us posted on the ways of the world and keep us amused with his latest jokes or funny stories?
Though we sometimes lost touch our paths always seemed to cross again. We were so happy that you and Rosemary were there to help us celebrate our 50th anniversary.
We are so sorry for the pain and suffering you went through. But now you can rest gently in the arms of our savior.
Shalam dear friend until we meet again. Have a safe journey home!
Blessings always. XO Mary and Bob
