We are so sorry for your loss. There is nothing we can say to you all. However I would like to let you know that as a Neighbour Dunja and Josip were the best. We love them both. Dunja was so very accepting and caring and I so wish that I spend more time with her but although she is gone to Heaven to be with our God she will never be forgotten by us and many more. Thanks for letting me know just even a small amount of who you were Dunja.
Love always

I was very sad to hear about the passing of my Aunt Dunja Balaban.

She was a dedicated Mama, and Baka. A real character, she would greet you with a big hug, two kisses, and a plate of food. If you visited her, and you didn't gain 20lbs during your few hours there? She had failed in her mission.

In many ways, there is a perception that the ladies from "the old country" were somehow timid or reserved. Not my Aunt. If she felt that you needed to hear something, she had no problems at all letting your know. She'd stand up to anybody.
She was very strong in her faith, and kept her children, and many grandkids close.
We will miss you very much, and my deepest condolences and thoughts with the family.
