Passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Sunday, May 9th, 2021 at the age of 87. Dragica was born on May 2nd, 1934 in Otok na Dobri Croatia, where she later met and married the love of her life Slavko on January 17, 1960.
After marrying and starting their family in Croatia, they immigrated to Canada. She lived most of her life in Thunder Bay where she devoted her time to family, church and her garden while working for Canada Post. She moved to Mississauga a few years ago to be with her family. She is survived by her two daughters Mirjana Markovinovic (Iliya), and Anna Czipf (Stephen); grandchildren Nicholas (Jacklyn), Michael (Lori), Peter Markovinovic, Adriana Ljubicic (Daniel), Mathew and Victoria Czipf; and great-grandchildren Maia, Iliya, Mateo and Luka Markovinovic - all of Mississauga; Sister Danica (Maydanski) of Thunder Bay. Nephew John (Nada) Tonkovic, children and grandchildren of Mississauga. Brother-in-law Ivan (Katica) Matesic, children and grandchildren of Toronto. Along with multiple surviving relatives in Canada, Croatia and Australia.

A heartfelt thank you, to the Spectrum healthcare nurses, LHIN palliative care, & all the PSWs from SRT who provided her and the family with tremendous support and loving care.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions there are no public services planned at this time. A private family viewing and mass will be held before Dragica is laid to rest in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
