
With deep sadness, the family of Dr. Safwat Ernest Farag announces his peaceful passing into the Lord’s hands at Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga on Tuesday July 10, 2012, at the age of 76.
Dr. Safwat Farag is a Professor of Psychology at Cairo University, a great leader in his field and the founder of the Egyptian Psychologists Association. Who enriched the Psychology Library with tens of books, research and papers in the fields of Behavioural Sciences, Psychology, Personality, Intelligence Testing and Statistics.
Beloved husband of Dr. Nahed Ramzy for 46 years. Loving father of Sherif Ernest (husband of Emily Ernest), Dina Ernest (wife of Dr. Hossam Makar) and Shereen Albert (wife of Dr. Samy Soliman). Proud grandfather of Sara, Sandra, Anthony, Hannah and Daniel. Dear brother of Raafat (husband of Salwa), Kawthar (wife of late Ibrahim), Nashaat (husband of Evette), Bahgat (husband of Salwa), Sanaa (wife of Emil), Effat (husband of Mervat) and Medhat (husband of Sonia). Brother-in-law of Nabila Ramzy (wife of Emad Kamel), Nabil Saad (husband of Sue Saad), Dr. Nashaat Ramzy (husband of Dr. Salwa Saad). Nephew of Edward Khalil. Uncle of Bassem and Ramez Raafat, Dr. Maged and Ashraf Hosni, Amgad and Rami Nashaat, Fady and Nader Effat, Hany and Fady Medhat, Sameh Kamel and Rania, Ramzy and Reham Saad.
Funeral will be held at the Virgin Mary & St. Athanasius Coptic Orthodox Church, 1245 Eglinton Avenue West, Mississauga on Friday July 13 at 11:00 am, reception at Trinity Hall at the church from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
