Fond memories of working with Dr Crompton , always professional and fine gentleman loved by all the nurses . Enjoyed our invitation to his country house .
Rest in Peace Dear Dr Crompton.
As one of the Gardiner historians , i recall years ago family get togethers in Mt. Forest and the odd family reunion and Gardiner Family Album 1992..... and " Dr. Charles " to me was that accomplished, charming , debonair man that married by dad's beautiful younger sister " Aunt Norine ".
On behalf of my wife Jennifer who is visiting our grandchildren in Vancouver BC and me who will be in Montreal this week.... and on behalf of our own immediate family Jane, David and Peter and their families.... i wish to express our condolences to all the Crompton family .
I believe " Dr. Charles " knew and lived the truth in the following .... ' the highest love of all finds its fulfillment not in what it keeps but in what it gives . " - Fr. Andrew SDc : seven words from the Cross "
The best anesthetist I ever had the pleasure and privilege of working with.. A gentle and kind man. Will be missed by all
I was sorry to read today of Dr. Crompton's passing. It is difficult to lose a parent but wonderful to understand that your dad not only led a good and long life, but his compassion made a difference to his patients. While at Western twice for relatively minor surgeries when I was a teenager, he took time from a hectic schedule to stop and visit - a very kind and appreciated gesture.
David and I moved to Ottawa in 2014, so I will not be able to attend th
Dear Mrs Crompton, Ann, Ruth, Scott and Judith.
I am sorry for your loss. I have very found memories of Dr. Crompton. Friend to my parents, Ken and Helen and also to me when I was in for surgery at the Western in 1978. Charles was not just their to "put me out" but visited my room on many occasions to say HI and let me know he was thinking of me. What a first class gentleman!!
Love,
Michael
