Doug & I played on the same hockey team at the City of Toronto and I worked along-side with him in Payroll. For years we also played cards together monthly. I have nothing but fond memories. He was all class. While we haven't seen each other after I left the City in '99, all I have is a memory of a great man who would do anything to lend a helping hand. We need more people like Doug in the world. RIP my old friend.

My best childhood memories include Doug. Fishing, cottaging at Rainbow and Lumbini in Wasaga, reading comics, going to the CNE. I am honoured to have been shaped by Doug's patience, loyalty and strength. I mourne for his family's loss, a loss all of us who knew Doug can feel.

Thank you for always providing a welcoming place to hangout when Dave and I were young. You were always very relaxed and easy going. Rest in peace, sir.
