Douglas Albert Brownridge passed away peacefully at age 99 with his wife Norma and son Don by his side. Growing up In Bloor West Village in Toronto, he was a product of Humberside C.I., later settling in Etobicoke. During the war, he became a skilled flight officer. Post war he joined his father running ET Brownridge & Co real estate and property management business. Dad held positions as president of the Toronto Real Estate board, Director on OREA/CREA.

Summers found him at the family cottage and winters skiing into his early 80s.
A respected and gentle man, loved by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and May Brownridge (nee Bennett) his sibling Alan (Patricia); Joyce (nee Semple), mother of his children “Jim” (Linda), Granddaughter Katrina Maheu (Patrick) and “Don” (Robin), Grandson Jeremy (Jackie).

He is survived by his wife Norma (Hollingsworth); stepchildren Tom (Linda), Doug, Brad, Reid and 7 grandchildren.

Douglas will be interred in a private ceremony at Park Lawn Cemetery, followed by a celebration of life with family and friends at a later date.
