Dorothy Jensen Parent

July 10, 1931 - February 27, 2026

Dorothy Jensen Parent (Holst), of Mississauga Ontario recently passed away early in the morning of February 27th 2026, at Credit Valley hospital, at the age of 94.

Mom was born in Toronto On July 10, 1931 to parents Jens Jensen Holst & Alda Grace Chartrand. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents & siblings Ken, Leslie, Arnold, Ronnie, Jimmy, Billy & her sister Lynn. Dorothy is survived by her younger sister Dorelle & her family, her son Craig, daughter in-law Evelyn, grandson Kellen & his partner Vanessa & her many nieces & nephews.

Dorothy benefited immensely also, with Craig having married into the wonderfully supportive, loving family of Tomas & Adriana, their 2 other children Tom & Carol.

Tom & his spouse Toni have 3 Children, Dylan, Brendan & Elyse. Carol & her partner Peter, Carol's 4 children, Manuel, Jabriel, Jalen, Natasha & her spouse Jassi & their young son. They all will never forget her fantastic sense of humour & the accompanying laughter she could fill a room with.

As our niece Natasha recently said, “She was one of one “.

Visitation is scheduled for
Tuesday March 3, 2026.
From 5-8 PM.
Turner & Porter Neweduk Chapel
1981 Dundas Street west
Mississauga, Ontario.

As Dorothy greatly loved animals, donations in support of that cause would be appreciated.

Craig and family, Dorothy was such a wonderful person!
Funny, sweet and with a great sense of humour :)
I always felt a connection with Dorothy and it was due to her beautiful character.
It was an honour to have met her and she will always remain in my heart .

Disbelief is an understatement Mom, in having to believe that you will no longer be making your way along the road of life with me. You had a tough road I know, but never gave in & always kept going no matter what the challenge. When my Dad died so long ago, your road became that much more treacherous to navigate. Despite all the challenges you faced in this life, I always felt that you loved me without end. I’m so grateful that you stayed with me as long as you did helping to teach me the best that you could.
I couldn’t have asked for more from you Mom. I await the day that we can see each other again, so that you can show me the ropes in eternity. I love you.
