In Celebration of

Dorothy Esther Connors

February 18, 1924 -  November 22, 2021

Dorothy passed away peacefully at Ian Anderson House on Monday November 22, 2021 in her 98th year. Dorothy was born and raised during her early years in Kahnawake Quebec. In her teens her family moved to Ste. Marguerite in the Lauerntians. There Dorothy and her sister Ethel became accomplished downhill ski racers, eventually becoming members of the Canadian Olympic team. Dorothy also became a fashion model and at one point in her career she was screen tested for a movie with Clark Gable. However Dorothy chose to put aside these pursuits to marry Frank, the love of her life, who she had met in the Laurentians and lived happily with for 62 years of marriage. While Dorothy was indeed a multi talented and gifted human being, her strongest gifts shone through in her loving, caring and compassionate nature which she shared abundantly with family, friends and community. Many have been truly blessed by her presence in their lives. It is with heartfelt sorrow that we see her leave from this world . However, as we see her go we express our gratitude and love to her for all the gifts that she has provided to us through her truly amazing life.
Dorothy is predeceased by her loving parents Arthur and Ann Beauvais, her brother Maurice, & sister Ethel and her beloved husband ,Frank. Cherished mother of Edward (Donna), Kathleen (Mitchell), & Trish (Robert). Loving Nana to Sarah, Christie, Sean, David, Mark, Andrew, Dylan & Shane. A special thank you to all the staff at Ian Anderson House for their compassionate care during her final days. A private family service will be held at St. Christopher’s Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Springcreek Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Ian Anderson House. PO box 61034 511 Maplegrove Dr. Oakville Ont. L6J 7P5 905 337- 8004. Mrs. Connors is the classiest lady I have ever met. She was always welcoming, warm and friendly treating us as one of her own. Her gentle demeanour always made others feel special as she was genuinely interested in whomever she spoke to. We love her dearly and she will sadly be missed.
