Dorothy Dass, 81, peacefully passed away on July 24, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on July 24, 1944, in Trinidad, Dorothy's unwavering faith guided her life and her approach to motherhood. She was predeceased by her husband Roy Mohan Dass.

As a mother of four, Dorothy instilled her strong values and religious beliefs in her family. She led by example, always putting others first, whether by cooking meals for friends and family or offering a helping hand wherever it was needed. Her selflessness and generosity were a constant source of inspiration to those around her.
She is survived by her children Esther Cabrera (Jorge), Ralph Dass (Duy), Lenny Dass, Sheryl Dass (David). She will always remain the loving grandmother to Carlos and Vanesa Cabrera, Ethan and Emily Galea. She was the cherished sister of Narbada Sooknanan (Polan), Maria Dass (Ken), Kendrick Seepersad (Charmaine), Jerico Seepersad (Sharon) and Christine Rampaul (Enoch).

Family and friends will be received at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street West, on Monday, July 28, 2025 from 1p.m.-3p.m. with the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 3 p.m. Livestreaming of the service will be available by clicking the button below.

My dear Dorothy. My second mom. I will always sherrish our time we spent together. I only can have a good memories, working together, traveling to Germany having our chats and coffee. You were someone I could tell anything and someone who would understand my ups and downs. I will always love you. You will be missed.
