In Celebration of

Donald Dingwall

August 13, 1930 -  July 20, 2016

August 13, 1930-July 20, 2016
Donald passed peacefully after a brave fight with cancer. Devoted and loving husband of the late Marcia (nee May). Proud and beloved father of Barbra and Julianne (Jack Mar) and forever in the hearts of grandchildren William and Amelia. Uncle Donald was greatly loved by his many nieces and nephews, he deeply enjoyed hearing from and looking at pictures of his ever-broadening family tree. Born and raised in Grandview, Manitoba with older sister Arlie and brothers Roy and Jim. Don graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1953 with a degree in electrical engineering. Started work at Falconbridge Nickel Mines in 1954 where he spent his 37 year career until retirement. His work took him to many foreign locales but his heart was always at home with his family. Donald spent the many months prior to his own illness caring devotedly to his wife Marcia who predeceased him on June 18. 2016. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane Subway, on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from 2 p.m. until a celebration of both their lives and love to follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel. Donations in Donald and Marcia’s memory may be made online to the Dorothy Ley Hospice (dlhospice.org)
