In Celebration of

Donald Crawford McWhirter

October 21, 1919 -  November 16, 2019

It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Donald at the age of 100, at Runnymede Healthcare Centre on Saturday, November 16, 2019.

Loving husband of the late Irene McWhirter (2002). Dear father of Robert McWhirter (Maureen), Lynn Kiely (Gerry) and Donna Drysdale (Bruce). Cherished grandfather of Brad (Rosie) and their children Jackson and Colton, Erin and her children Logan and Gabriel, Aileen (John) and their children Jeremy, Brayden, Owen and Hayleigh, Shelagh (Duncan) and son Xander, Marc (Gillian) and their children Julia and Eleanor, Danny (Sofia) and their children Gus and Donnie, Siobhan, Michael (Jennifer) and their children Ava, Addison and Adele and David (Anna) and their daughter Selah.

Donald was predeceased by his sister Florence Franklin and her husband Morgan and sister Dorothy McWhirter and is survived by his sister Ruth Knight (Charles) from Kelowna B.C. Lovingly remembered by niece Dorothy Franklin and nephews Randy and Donald Knight.

For those who wish, donations may be made to Cawthra Park United Church.

Due to today’s inclement weather and dangerous driving conditions, not all family members are able to attend the evening visitation taking place on December 1. We caution guests from travelling this evening and in keeping with Don’s spirit and good sense, ask that your primary concern be to remain safe today.

All are invited to join the family for a Celebration of Life for Donald McWhirter, followed by a reception on Monday Dec., 2, 2019, 1:30pm at Cawthra Park United Church.
