It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden and peaceful passing of Diana Barbara Whyte (née Lotosky) during her journey with Alzheimer’s in Guelph, Ontario on Sunday March 8, 2026.

Born on August 14, 1947 in Toronto, Ontario. She was the beloved daughter of Anne Lotosky (nee Worotniak) and was predeceased by her father Russell Lotosky and her brother Micheal Lotosky. A devoted and committed mother, grandmother, partner, sister and aunt, Diana was deeply loved and cherished by all who knew her. Her infectious and glowing smile exuded radiance and positivity.

She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her three children, Justine (Mark), Russell, and Jen (Rob) and her long time partner and love, Roger. Much loved by her grandchildren Edie and Jack and will be forever their Baba D; beloved aunt to Gillian and Maya (Jeremy) and sister in law to Ann. She will be fondly remembered and missed by her extended family and friends.

Diana’s deep devotion and commitment to her family led her to step away from the workforce to care for and raise her children, nurturing them with unwavering love, with incredible food and patience while instilling in them strong moral values. Upon returning to the workforce, she enjoyed a fulfilling career at Bell Canada. She balanced the demands of work and family with strength of character, steady devotion, and tireless commitment. Diana’s steadfast commitment to raising her three children and supporting others will forever be remembered.

Her love of her cherished home in Toronto, where she raised her three children and worked tirelessly on her beautiful garden is one of many fond memories of her. Her love of music (of all sorts), reading, yoga and dancing with a big smile will forever be in our hearts.

She was a wonderful woman, who will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.

A Memorial Service to honour her life will take place on Monday, March 16, 2026 at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St W, Toronto Memorial Visitation from 2 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 3 p.m., followed by a Gathering.
