My childhood is filled with good memories of times spent with my Uncle Dennis. We had loads of fun at the cottage. Shared many Christmas parties and dinners together. He was loved and will be remembered fondly. Our hearts go out to Alda in her time of grief.

Dennis would have been the closest brother to my late mother, Audrey Grace Gray(Tidmarsh). Sad day and an end of an era to this wonderful family generation, The Tidmarsh. Sorry we can't be with you, Rest in Peace and reunited with all your family once more.

Dennis was the brother of my mother Audrey and the last remaining family member who all grew up in North Stoke, Oxfordshire.
As Dennis had emigrated to Canada, the opportunities to share time with Dennis and Alda were few and far between. However we have fond memories of time spent together. Dennis was very good with his hands and I can remember him putting the lenses back together in my 35mm slide projector so it worked. Genius!!
Sincere condolences to Alda, our thoughts are with you at this very sad time.

My mother Enid Octavia Townsend (nee Tidmarsh) was my Uncle Dennis's youngest sister. I know that she loved him tremendously and now they are all together with all of the family including my brother Paul.
Dennis with his brothers' had all emigrated to Canada well before I was born so we only saw each other a couple of times, and I wish that I had the chance to know him better. I'm not sure if my middle name "William" came from Uncle Dennis but now I'm happy to know that we at least have that in common.
Love and our condolences to Alda on your loss, and our thoughts are with you at this very sad time.

Dennis was a thoughtful, kind, and affectionate friend. We have fond memories of going for lunch with Alda and Dennis, especially at one of his favorite spots in Niagara on the Lake. Dennis was always ready to go on trips together and had a never-ending will to learn (including his recent hobby with learning to use a computer). We will always remember Dennis’ good humour, light-heartedness, and appreciation for exceptional cheesecake. We extend our deepest condolences to Alda during this very sad time.
