In Celebration of

Dennis Paul Risavy

October 1, 1946 -  May 10, 2018

Dennis bravely fought his last battle and left us on Thursday, May 10, 2018. Beloved husband of Mary. Devoted father of Stephen (Laura), Michael (Katie) and Carolyn (Scott). Adoring grandfather of Abigail. Predeceased by his grandson Nathan and his brother and best friend Al. Dear brother-in-law of Lynda, Nick & Gia and Mark & Lisa. Loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. A caring and thoughtful friend with a wonderful sense of humour that stayed with him until his final days. Dennis was a gifted educator and principal. He loved travelling and playing or watching sports, especially hockey and golf, and spending time at his cottage on Buck Lake. Dennis was happiest when surrounded by family and friends, sharing a good meal with a nice bottle of wine and a taste of scotch. His life was completed with the marriage of his three children and the birth of his beautiful granddaughter. We already miss you Boompa.

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Dennis. He was such a gentle and quieting friend when times got somewhat crazy. We enjoyed many lunches, occasional golf games and many laughs together. To the family, please accept my sincere condolences
