In Celebration of

Deborah Carolyn Lawrence

August 24, 1955 -  February 25, 2024

The family is heartbroken to announce that Debbie passed away suddenly at Trillium Mississauga Hospital on February 25, 2024, at the age of 68. Debbie was predeceased by her parents Hugh and Iris as well as her brother Reg (Clareece), and is missed by her loving sister Wendy (André). Debbie was the beloved wife of Ron for almost 45 years, and a devoted mother to 4 children: Daniel (Christina), Carolyn (Dan), Michelle (Peter), and Brooke. She was so proud of her grandchildren Oryn, Jasper, Ellis, Maya, and Ridley, and treasured every minute with them.

Debbie adored her new role as a grandma, playing with the kids on the piano, baking, or going for a skate. Debbie worked as a teacher for over 40 years and taught middle school with the Peel District School Board for 37 years. Her commitment to her students and their futures was evident to anyone who knew her. Debbie will be fondly remembered by her many respected colleagues, dear friends, and loving family.

A visitation took place at the Turner and Porter Neweduk- Erin Mills Chapel, 1981 Dundas Street West, Mississauga, on Thursday, February 29th from 4-8 p.m.

Following cremation, a private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

For those who wish, donations in Debbie’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

A real shocker! Enjoyed being in Mrs. Lawrence's Gr. 7-8 French class. Though I got out of line at times, I never walked away with malice towards her. Rest in peace and please say "hi" to Mr. Taylor for me, Madam!
