Deborah Anne (Debbie) Jamison

July 11, 1951 -  March 18, 2026


Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, surrounded by family, at the age of 74.

Debbie is survived by her loving brothers, Mark (Carol) and Peter (Lucy). She was a proud aunt to Kevin, Ashley, Christopher, and Sam, who will miss her dearly. Born in Toronto, Debbie was raised by Kenneth and Barbara Jamison.

Debbie attended Vincent Massey Collegiate Institute in Etobicoke, and began her career with CIBC (Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce), retiring after 35 years of service. She then turned her energy to volunteering in a variety of interests through Islington United Church, one being a Crisis Call Centre operator at TeleHealth, another was assisting the elderly, and helping refugees getting settled in their new home here in Canada.

Debbie will be fondly remembered by friends, cousins, nieces and nephews for her humour, fierce loyalty, kindness, empathy and infectious inspirational spirit. Above all she had an unwavering devotion to her relationship with Jesus Christ, her Lord and Saviour, which defined her life in so many ways. The family extends their gratitude to the staff of the CCU (Cardiac Care Unit) at Trillium Health Partners - Mississauga Hospital for their incredible patience, attention, kindness, and support.

Visitation will be at the Turner & Porter – Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas Street West, Etobicoke, on Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 5:00–8:00 p.m.

The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Islington United Church, 25 Burnhamthorpe Road, Toronto, at 11:00 a.m.

Debbie and I worked together at CIBC for a number of years and maintained our friendship when our jobs changed. She always had a smile on her face, always had a kind or encouraging word for her co-workers. I can recall her offering back rubs for staff on particularly stressful days.

She will be missed.

Rest eternal grant to her, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon her.

I was thinking about Debbie Jamison recently. I am one of her former colleagues from her time at Turner & Porter, and we worked together at the Butler Chapel. She always spoke about her family and her deep love for you all and then the church. In fact, I cannot pass IUC without thinking about her. I expect that will always be the case. I also admired her commitment to being a companion to the elderly. My sincerest condolences to the Jamison family on your loss of Debbie. May she rest in peace.

WE send our saddest condolences to all of Debbie’s family as we all grieve losing her . It is with great love and respect that we remember her life, her friendship over 40 years. As you have said in her obituary, she was a proud aunt- she loved that she had those hours with Christopher and Sam just awhile ago, a loving friend to many, and a Christian with a strong , unwavering faith that she shared with many, through her kindnesses and example. She was so glad to be able to be at her own home for as long as she was ( even though there were some pretty scary times!!) and then that she had the very best care at the end. That gave us all great comfort, even in such a difficult time.
God’s good blessings to all of you. She will indeed be remembered with great love.
