In Celebration of

David John Ashworth

September 16, 1957 -  November 7, 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of David John Ashworth announces his sudden passing on Saturday, November 7, 2020. Dave will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years, Catherine and their children Adrienne (Joe Purchio), Heather (Cuyler Morra), David (Ashley Kernohan), Michelle (Nic Gelly), Kevin, Amy and Lindsey. A devoted Grandad, he will be missed by his grandchildren Daniella, Alessia, Cameron, Emily and #5 on the way. Dave will be fondly remembered by sister Jean (Ken Merritt) and brother Ken. He was predeceased by his loving parents Les and Lorna Ashworth. Dave was a regular in the neighbourhood walking his dog, Cooper, and will be missed by all.

Dave was an involved community member for many years with Eringate Softball League and Kiwanis Club of Mississauga South. A private family funeral service will be held at Turner & Porter Peel Chapel and a celebration of life will be planned at a future date when restrictions have lifted. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Friends of Killbear Provincial Park or Kiwanis Club of Mississauga South.

David was like my big brother, his mother baby sat me from the age of 3. Later David in his teens.
He was always around to offer a helping hand or advice.
Visit daily with Cooper on their walks for biscuits.
